Silver Alert canceled after Mesa man found safe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert has been canceled for a Mesa man who wandered away from home but was found safe Wednesday.
Authorities said Joe Cardoza, 77, walked away from his home near Stapley Drive and Brown Road on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.
Cardoza has dementia and is on medication.
The last time anyone had seen him Cardoza was wearing a gray T-shirt, black jeans and a black baseball cap.
