ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — A car-to-car shooting on a Southern California freeway has wounded a driver and another is in police custody.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday on State Route 91 in the Fullerton area.
Fullerton police Sgt. Kathryn Hamel says the driver of a white SUV was wounded but managed to call 911 while following his suspected attacker.
Hamel tells the Orange County Register (http://bit.ly/1o961rr) that the driver shot three times in his upper torso and left arm but is expected to survive.
The driver of the other car was later stopped and detained in nearby Anaheim.
Authorities haven’t said whether the men knew each other and there’s no immediate word on what prompted the attack.
