Actor Dick Van Dyke will be guest at upcoming Phoenix Comicon

PHOENIX — People planning to go to the upcoming Phoenix Comicon got super supercalifragilisticexpialidocious news on Friday: Actor Dick Van Dyke will be in attendance.
The event announced the news on Facebook. Attendees can purchase autographs and photographs with the “Mary Poppins” star, who will only appear on the Saturday of the event.

Van Dyke, 91, is one of the most well-known names in Hollywood. After getting his start in radio, he transitioned to the Broadway stage — his “Bye Bye Birdy” lead won him a Tony Award — before hitting it big in television.
Van Dyke rose to fame when he starred in the self-titled “Dick Van Dyke Show.” He eventually made his way to the silver screen, where he played a lead role in the aforementioned “Mary Poppins,” “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and a slew of other films.
In addition to the Tony, Van Dyke has also won an Academy Award and five Emmys. He is in the Television Hall of Fame.
Van Dyke will be joined by a host of other stars, authors and artists at Phoenix Comicon, which is set to run May 25-28.
Tickets for the event are still available. Single-day admittance starts at $20. The full weekend pass is $65.
A fast pass is $299. It includes special lines for autographs and pictures, a $25 merchandise voucher and other perks.
Discount tickets for kids ages 3-12 are available for $10 and include all four days. Children 2 and under get in for free.
