FBI investigating now-closed pizzeria in Phoenix for credit-card fraud
PHOENIX — The Phoenix Division of the FBI is conducting an investigation of a now-closed Italian restaurant for possible credit-card fraud.
Agents want to speak to anyone who was a customer of Mamma Mia Brick Oven Pizza in Phoenix between January 2012 and July 2015 and then had their home burglarized or were a victim of credit-card fraud.
The pizzeria had two locations on East Indian School Road, one near 10th Street and the other at 39th Street.
Details of the investigation weren’t immediately released Tuesday, but FBI officials said they were collecting information and that a large number of people were potentially affected.
