If you have ever driven down a residential road before, there is a chance that you have ran into or come across a Google Street View truck.

You know them when you see them: Google Street View cars are equipped with high-tech, 360-degree cameras so they can capture stunning and complete images of the areas they are surveying, like this one of downtown Phoenix.

But the geniuses behind Google Street View have taken this technology to the skies — literally.

The new-and-improved Google Earth will now use Google Street View techniques and technology to capture stunning 3D and 360-degree views of the entire planet.

So if you want to visit Paris but can’t afford the plane ticket, no worries! With Google Earth, you can practically pretend like you’re there — and save your money in the process.

And if you really want to go all out, Google Earth’s new “Voyager” feature allows users to go on dozens of curated journeys across the globe.

The different journeys featured in “Voyager” will allow users to go on an intimate journey and explore anything from the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid in “Museums Around the World” to “the most striking and enigmatic landscapes available in Google Earth” through “Earth View.”

Some of the “voyages” even have embedded videos, such as clips from “Planet Earth” in the “Beautiful Birds of Paradise” voyage.

What are you waiting for? Sit back, relax and get ready to explore the world, without ever leaving your house.
