PHOENIX — For a first-time concert, the Lost Lake Festival in Phoenix has managed to pull in some big names.

The Killers, Chance the Rapper, Major Lazer and Odesza will headline the music fest that will run Oct. 20-22 at Steele Indian School Park near Indian School and Thomas roads.

Popular bands such as Run the Jewels, the Pixies and the Roots will also play, while rappers Ludacris and Lil Jon will also get the crowd dancing.

Tickets for the festival went on sale Thursday. A three-day pass will start at $164.50, while VIP prices start at $499.50.

Superfly, the same company that created Tennessee’s famed Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, is putting on Lost Lake.

Superfly co-founder Rick Farman said the company is excited to bring a new cultural experience to the Valley and hopes it can create inclusiveness through different artistic mediums.

“[Lost Lake will be] about creating opportunities that are beyond the bands on the stage, that really make this a cultural experience,” Farman said in a release. “We feel [this] will be embraced by the entire community.”

However, some in that community are worried the festival will lead to more trash, crime, parking headaches and traffic congestion in the area.

One Facebook user who said she lives near the area commented that although she wants to attend, she “can’t help but think there goes the neighborhood.”
