PHOENIX — A criminal traffic stop on westbound Interstate 10 west of the downtown Phoenix area snarled traffic for a short time on Friday.
The Phoenix Police Department said a driver failed to stop when officers attempted to pull the person over. The Arizona Department of Public Safety found the car and was able to stop the driver, who was taken into custody.
In a tweet, the Arizona Department of Transportation said the two left lanes were blocked for the traffic stop at 59th Avenue.
