Silver Alert cancelled after missing Glendale man found near Globe

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was cancelled Tuesday afternoon after a missing Glendale, Arizona man was found safely near Globe.
Officer Tiffany Smith, a spokeswoman for the Glendale Police Department, said 74-year-old Jerome Gill was “safely located” near Globe around 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
Gill was last seen about 9:30 a.m. at his home near Glendale and 83rd avenues. Police said he has memory problems and has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
Gill was driving a 1997 Dodge truck that is brown and gray. It has Arizona license plate ATK4465.
It was unknown where he was going, but he liked to visit the Crystal Gardens housing community near 107th Avenue and Thomas Road to watch the geese along the canals.
Gill stands 5-foot-7 and weighs 140 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a gray Cardinals hat, gray shirt and blue jeans.
