Main Street Minute: Health club, Arizona National Guard recruiting

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Mountainside Fitness is kicking off a two-day job fair Wednesday. It runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at corporate headquarters near Washington Street and Priest Drive in Tempe. Mountainside has more than 50 openings for fitness managers, personal trainers, front desk workers and more for the Tempe location scheduled to open next month.

• The Arizona National Guard and Nielsen are among a number of employers taking part in a hiring event Wednesday in Chandler. The job fair runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Hilton Phoenix Chandler at Frye Road near Loop 101.

Meineke Car Care is planning major expansion in the Valley. The auto-maintenance chain unveiled plans to open 30 locations by 2021. The company says that will bring between 120 and 210 body technicians to the area.
