PHOENIX — A Phoenix-area man is under federal investigation for allegedly threatening the lives of President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on social media.
The Chandler Police Department said it reported the man, who has not been publicly identified, to the Secret Service.
A review of the man’s Twitter feed showed several references to killing both Trump and Pence, including a graphic image of the president lying on the ground with bullet wounds.
The man also used the hashtag #killtrump on multiple occasions and posted several photos of high-powered rifles.
Chandler police referred further questions on the matter to the Secret Service, which investigates threats directed at the president and vice president.
