Man covers Rush’s ‘Tom Sawyer’ by singing, playing guitar, drums simultaneously

Bands are so overrated nowadays.

Multiple people singing and playing the guitar and drums is cool, but have you ever seen one man do that all at once?

Dominic Fragman is that man.

Fragman uploaded a video to YouTube on Jan. 8 of him covering Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” by simultaneously singing AND playing the guitar and the drums.

And no, I know what you’re thinking — he does not have any extra arms or can play with his feet. This man has pulled off an incredible feat and sounded incredible doing so.

The video on YouTube alone has already been seen by more than half a million people, so this is truly something you have to see and experience for yourself.

But this isn’t Fragman’s first go-around: He first workshopped the concept at the Rams Head in Annapolis, Maryland, where he played “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath, according to TeamRock.com.

He later took his talents to 2015 FloydFest, where he recreated his simultaneous performance of the rock song, which can now be seen on his YouTube channel.

(The video is the second most-viewed on his channel, with 19,000-plus views.)

Fragman said in an interview with the online publication that the video generated an internet frenzy and soon after, the “Solo Trio was born.”

“The trick is to not think of it as two or three or any different things,” Fragman told TeamRock.com. “It is all one thing. All one instrument. All one sound. One endeavor.”
