It’s something Princess Leia herself would do — take control of a situation quickly and with a little defiance.
Fans reacted to the death of actress Carrie Fisher, best known as the “Star Wars” royal rebel, by constructing a temporary star for her on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Fisher, 60, passed away Tuesday. By evening, the makeshift star was on Hollywood Boulevard near Highland Avenue.
Jason Thomas told NBC Los Angeles, “When I found Carrie Fisher didn’t have a star I found that to be unacceptable.” So he put one together near Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
Fans also held a vigil.

Unbelievably, #CarrieFisher doesn't have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, so fans have created one. (Thanks @KevinYounge)⭐️ pic.twitter.com/pDjaWHIMpU
