Flagstaff Airport reported 10.1 inches of snowfall on Christmas Eve, breaking the previous record set back in 1914. On that fateful day 102 years ago, Flagstaff saw a mere four inches.
The National Weather Service also says Sunday that the Prescott area also received about eight inches of snow from the storm. It led to vehicle crashes and road closures in northern Arizona on Saturday.
Various parts of northern Arizona and down near Phoenix has experienced plenty of rain and snow. The holiday season turned a sharp wet turn, and the record books continue to be rewritten because of it.
