Silver Alert cancelled for missing Scottsdale woman

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A Silver Alert has been cancelled for a missing elderly woman. Scottsdale Police have reported that Doris Ventrello was found deceased in a wash in the area of Tangle Creek and Forest Road.

Ventrello, 87, was last seen late Saturday afternoon in the area of 103rd Street and Morning Star Drive. She drove a beige 1999 Honda Accord with an Arizona license plate that reads 043EBJ.

Ventrello suffered from dementia and has high blood pressure. She was 5-foot-4, 110 pounds with gray hair and hazel eyes.

Currently, police do not know a cause of death, and an investigation is on-going.
