Main Street Minute: Record $4.5B in Valley apartment complexes sold this year

• Apartments have been selling like hotcakes in the Valley this year. According to the ABI Multifamily, a record $4.5 billion worth of apartment sales have been reported this year, including the Broadstone Scottsdale Horizon complex near Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Raintree Drive. According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the complex was sold for more than $50 million.
• The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety awarded the Peoria Police Department nearly $24,000 to help increase traffic enforcement in and around the city of Peoria. Police also received more than $6,000 to help increase school bus safety.
