Taylor Swift claims top spot on Forbes’ list of highest-paid musicians

It seemed like only yesterday that Taylor Swift graced our ears with her country renditions.
Her decision to sway a bit more toward the pop genre may had turned some heads, but it appears to be paying off.
The 26-year-old has taken the top spot on Forbes’ list of highest-paid musicians of 2016, accumulating $170 million this year. Swift’s yearly earnings dwarfed the runner-up, boy band One Direction, who earned a paltry $110 million.
Swift made millions through her tours, and added more millions from her partnerships with companies such as Apple, Diet Coke and Keds.
Several other musicians that appeared on the list — Madonna at No. 4 ($76.5 million), Diddy at No. 10 ($62 million) and Katy Perry at No. 25 ($41 million) — made additional coin on the side from numerous endorsements and business ventures.
