Main Street Minute: West Phoenix grocery store reopens, throws party

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• The Phoenix Veterans Job Fair runs Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Gateway Community College’s central city campus near 12th Street and Buckeye Road. More than 40 companies will be hiring for more than 1,200 positions.
• The Food City near 91st Avenue and Thomas Road will celebrate its grand reopening Wednesday with a fiesta that includes a mariachi band. The remodeled store features a sushi bar, expanded restaurant deli and an improved produce section.
