The Gardner Police Department in Gardner, Kansas was contacted about the chance of a mountain lion being around a local park.

Like a good police department would, the department in Gardner answered those concerns by placing two cameras in the area to see if there was any wildlife.

While there was wildlife to be seen, there were also some photos that included some creativity and costumes.

The residents of Gardner had a sense of humor about the cameras, having themselves captured in ridiculous outfits such as Santa drinking a beer and someone in a gas mask with a jerry can.

The cameras, of course, also picked up the occasional skunk and coyote, but no mountain lion.

Instead of having a sour attitude about those who had fun with the cameras, the Facebook page of the department was thankful.

We would like to sincerely thank the persons responsible as it made our day when we pulled up what we expected to be hundreds of pictures of coyotes, foxes and raccoons. Thank you to the citizens who noticed the cameras. Your effort and sense of humor are greatly appreciated.
