Scottsdale ranks third among America’s most attractive cities

For most Arizonans, the three constants in life are death, taxes and immeasurable sunlight.
However, Scottsdale residents have learned to harness that last power, and with it, have propelled the city into the national spotlight as being the third-ranked most attractive city in America by Travel + Leisure.
What keeps Scottsdale residents looking so good? It could be the abundant Vitamin D from its roughly 300 days of sunshine a year. Or possibly the hours spent walking in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve, which protects 30,000 acres of mountainous desert habitat.
The McDowell Sonoran Preserve is a centerpiece in Scottsdale, and has many trails for the hiker-enthusiast or the everyday family. The preserve is open everyday for the public, but the hours of operation vary per the time of year.
Then again, it could be the sheer volume of spas: more per capita than anywhere else in the United States. Whatever it is, it’s working and Travel + Leisure readers have taken notice. Scottsdale also earns a perfect score for its plethora of luxury boutiques.
Scottsdale has plenty of spas throughout the city, many of them which have received high marks on Yelp. Residents and tourists can partake in the luxury boutiques at the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall or in Old Town Scottsdale.
Coming in at No. 1 and 2 on the America’s most attractive cities list were Honolulu, Hawaii and Boulder, Colo., respectively.
