TEMPE — After a 90-plus minute delay, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton spoke to an estimated 10,000-plus crowd of supporters at a campaign rally at Arizona State University in Tempe.

Clinton had kind words for her own democrats in the state, Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick and Paul Penzone, who are running against Sen. John McCain and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

After saying that Penzone will “follow the law, not his own ideological agendas,” Clinton attacked Arpaio and his dealings with her opposition, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“(Trump’s) top adviser on immigration is Sheriff Joe Arpaio,” Clinton said. “The person who (was) over the worst pattern of racial profiling by a law enforcement agency in American history and just last week, Sherriff Arpaio was officially charged with contempt of court because he refused to stop racially profiling Latinos. Now imagine Donald Trump appointing the sheriff our next secretary of homeland security to oversee the massive deportation force.”

She had high praise for ASU, saying, “there is so much to admire about ASU.

“The world-class education, the student body that reflects the diversity and talents of our great nation,” Clinton said.

“You are proof that the American dream is alive and big enough for everyone.”

Clinton would go after Trump, citing his previous praising of Vladimir Putin and insults of the pope.

“(Trump) could start a real war instead of a Twitter war,” Clinton said.

After reviewing her plans for tuition, job creation, and more, Clinton ended her speech on the importance of next Tuesday, Election Day.

“Sometimes the fate of the greatest nation comes down to single moments in time,” Clinton said. “This is one of those make or break moments.”

Clinton was over 90 minutes late to the speech scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Several Arizona officials began speaking at 6:15 p.m. before she would speak. Footage was shown of Clinton arriving at Sky Harbor International Airport around the time she was scheduled to speak.
