Most people’s Halloween preparations consist of finding a last minute costume to wear or making sure they have enough candy to please the trick-or-theaters.
For others, Halloween means lights, and lots of them.
These eight houses have gone above and beyond the call of duty this fall, giving the neighborhood much more than just Snickers or a Kit-Kat.
Using a mix of the classics and today’s popular hits, here are the best Halloween light shows of 2016.
“Time Warp,” “Rocky Horror Picture Show”
Head back in time to 1973 and rock out like never before with “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
“Uptown Funk,” Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars probably isn’t the first artist that comes to mind on Halloween, but this house adds some funk to the season.
“Light ‘Em Up,” Fall Out Boy
This house took the song title literally and lit up the neighborhood with some Halloween spirit.
“Thriller,” Michael Jackson
Yet another rendition of the Halloween classic.
“Handclap,” Fitz and the Tantrums
Clap along to the beat, and the lights.
“I Want Candy” (Willy Wonka Intro), Bow Wow Wow
Trick-or-treaters will certainly get their candy at this house, it just might not be exactly what they had in mind.
“This is Halloween,” Danny Elfman
Ghosts, ghouls, goblins and plenty of lights. This is Halloween.
“Devil Went Down to Georgia,” Charlie Daniels
Try to avoid the Devil if you can this Halloween. This house didn’t take the advice.
“Monster Mash,” Bobby Pickett
This house brought the “Graveyard Smash” to the front yard.
