PHOENIX — First lady Michelle Obama will make a campaign stop in Phoenix on Thursday on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

The first lady has been on the road pushing for Clinton since shortly after the former Secretary of State earned the nomination in August.

Obama will speak at an Arizona Democratic Party Early Vote rally at the Phoenix Convention Center.

The event starts at 2:00 p.m. and doors will be opening at 11:30 a.m.

Clinton’s campaign has been bringing out big names, among them highly regarded Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and celebrities, to drive the party message and support the nominee.

Republican nominee Donald Trump has held six rallies in Arizona over the past year and his running mate, Ind. Gov. Mike Pence, has also visited.

Clinton’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia, was in Phoenix campaigning last week and the pitches to Arizona continue.

Chelsea Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders will also be in the state this week campaigning for Hillary Clinton.

Sanders was scheduled to campaign for his former rival in Flagstaff and Tucson on Tuesday. Chelsea Clinton was set to speak at Arizona State University on Wednesday.

Sanders hosted a handful of events in the state in the spring, ahead of the presidential preference election.

Clinton expanded her presence in Arizona over the summer, adding staff and buying TV airtime for ads.

A Democrat has not carried Arizona since President Bill Clinton in 1996.
