Main Street Minute: Free concert series set to start in Tempe

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Kick off the weekend a little early: There is a free show Thursday night in Tempe. The Beyond the Bricks concert series is set for 5:30 p.m. at Hayden Square Amphitheater, near Fourth Street and Mill Avenue. There are 13 shows scheduled through late December.

• Candidates can meet face-to-face with local, regional and Fortune 500 companies at a career fair Thursday near Sky Harbor Airport. It runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn near 48th Street and University Drive.

• Latin food restaurant Chico Malo will serve up breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch in downtown Phoenix before the end of the year. The restaurant is scheduled to open in December
