Main Street Minute: Deadline nears for Forest Service boot camp

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Monday is the last day to apply for the Women in Wildland Fire Boot Camp. The U.S. Forest Service is looking for a small group to become temporary seasonal employees and on-call wildland firefighters for the 2017 fire season.

• Maricopa Ambulance, a subsidiary of Priority Ambulance, is interviewing candidates for paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers and nurses. The Scottsdale ambulance company plans to expand to 400 employees over the next five years.
