Main Street Minute: Vision insurer to give free eye exams, glasses to Valley kids

• VSP Global’s Eyes of Hope charity is providing no-cost eye exams and glasses to some Valley schoolkids and parents Wednesday and Thursday. The fully-stocked mobile clinic will be at St. Vincent de Paul from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. near Seventh Avenue and Interstate 17 both days.
• Lots of employers are hiring for lots of jobs Wednesday in the West Valley. The job fair runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel and Spa near Loop 101 and Glendale Avenue. Open positions include clinical research, education, health care and food services.
• American Airlines will soon offer daily flights between Phoenix and southern Utah. Flights between Sky Harbor Airport and St. George will launch Nov. 4.
