Main Street Minute: Phoenix, state fair hosting job seekers

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday at 7:23 a.m.

• The city of Phoenix is holding a job fair Thursday. The event runs from 10:30 a.m until 4:30 p.m. at the convention center and will feature employers from more than a dozen departments interviewing for part and full-time positions.

• The Arizona State Fair is hiring customer service, parking attendants, ticket takers, ticket sellers and more. Applications are being accepted in person at the fairgrounds near 19th Avenue and McDowell Road.

• The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Scottsdale Resort has finished a $36 million renovation project. The Phoenix Business Journal reports most of the money was spent making over villas, a fitness center, marketplace and activities center while the four outdoor pools underwent $6 million in renovations.
