Main Street Minute: ASU cuts ribbon on law center in Phoenix

• Arizona State University has unveiled its $130 million Center for Law and Society. The center will house the nation’s first teaching law firm, a law library open to the public and a legal triage service to help the public find legal support.

• Mountainside Fitness is hiring more than 120 employees for two soon-to-open Valley locations. The Queen Creek center will open in October. There will also be a site at Marina Heights in Tempe early next year.

• Consumer-products manufacturer Conair has broken ground on the construction of a $40 million facility at Glendale Airpark near Glendale and 99th avenues. The facility expansion is expected to bring about 300 jobs to the West Valley city.
