J’lein Liese is an international consultant who has spent much of her time in one of the world’s hotspots: the Middle East.
Among other things, we discuss:
- Turkey: There was a failed coup there. What does the future hold there? Is Turkey Democracy doomed? What of Turkey’s status in NATO? Or of joining the EU? Are they really an ally of the U.S.?
- Syria/ISIS: Who is winning? What are our options?
- NATO: What is the future of this alliance that has kept Europe peaceful for the last 70 years? Are other nations paying their share?
