I’m going to say this first because I can’t say it enough: “Gleason” is an amazing movie.
The films tells the story of Steve Gleason, a former National Football League player who played for the New Orleans Saints.
Gleason retired in 2008 and later revealed that he was battling Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
“Gleason” is made up of home videos taken by Gleason as he battles Lou Gehrig’s disease and fights to stay with his wife and family.
This movie is unbelievably moving, touching and heartbreaking. It’s easily one of the best movies you will ever see.
The film will likely not be in a lot of theaters, so you may have to wait in line to see it. I promise it’s worth the wait.
