STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) – Police in Stamford, Conn., say a 42-year-old woman who fell from her condominium’s 11th-floor balcony committed suicide.
Lt. Diedrich Hohn tells The Advocate of Stamford (

Officers and paramedics were called to the building after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. A witness said the woman was conscious and responding to people talking to her immediately after she fell. She died several hours later at Stamford Hospital.
Police say she lived alone.
A building security guard said people tried to help the woman and covered her with clothing to keep her warm until the ambulance arrived.
