(AP) – Here’s a timeline of deputies’ communications with dispatchers on Tuesday afternoon, when a 13-year-old was shot and killed while carrying a pellet gun resembling an AK-47 assault rifle. The timeline was provided by the Santa Rosa Police Department. All times PDT.
3:14:15 p.m. _ Sonoma County sheriff’s dispatch creates an incident report about a suspicious person in a Santa Rosa neighborhood.
3:14:19 p.m. _ The two deputies responding in a squad car call for emergency assistance from other deputies in the area.
3:14:25 p.m. _ The responding deputies notify dispatch that shots have been fired.
3: 14:41 p.m. _ Emergency medical personnel advised to respond to the scene.
