KENNEBEC, S.D. (AP) – A South Dakota farmer who creates time-lapse photos and videos of the sky over Western landscapes went to new places for his latest project.
Randy Halverson, of Kennebec, says his “Horizons” video includes images from the Black Hills, Devil’s Tower in Wyoming and the Aurora over South Dakota’s Badlands.
He sells the videos and still photography as part of his business, DakotaLapse.
The videos are made up of still photographs with long exposures that bring out features from the sky not visible to the naked eye.
