Beau Biden holds fundraiser, still mum on health

DOVER, Del. (AP) – More than a month after undergoing a “successful procedure” at a Texas cancer center, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden is holding a $1,200-per-person fundraiser this weekend at the home of his father, Vice President Joe Biden.
But as he raises money while eyeing a third term as attorney general, the younger Biden is still declining to provide details on his health issues.
Biden, through his spokesmen, has repeatedly denied requests for interviews. His office also has refused to release details of his schedules and communications with top staffers before and after his hospitalization in response to a Freedom of Information Act request by The Associated Press.
The 44-year-old Democrat, who suffered a mild stroke in 2010, hasn’t made any public appearances since being hospitalized after becoming weak and disoriented during a vacation last month.
