PHOENIX — It’s still slow going for passengers of Southwest Airlines. The major carrier continued to experience drawn-out recovery Friday from technical issues that caused flight cancellations and delays earlier this week.

At least 300 flights were cancelled and 1,200 had been delayed on the day.
Three straight days of disruptions began Wednesday when multiple computer systems malfunctioned. The ripples spread across the country, including Phoenix Sky Harbor.
Southwest canceled nearly 1,500 flights and 4,500 others were delayed Wednesday and Thursday. Sky Harbor’s online flight search tool listed
17 flights as scrubbed.
The airline said most of Friday’s cancellations were because crews were unable to get to their flights after being stranded in other cities.
