DEAL ISLAND, Md. (AP) – Maryland Natural Resources Police say four people were rescued after clinging for hours onto a capsized boat in waters off the Chesapeake Bay.
Sgt. Brian Albert tells The Daily Times of Salisbury (

Albert says five people on a fishing trip were aboard when the boat capsized during a storm in waters near Deal Island, which is southwest of Salisbury, on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He says the four boaters clung to the 16-foot Carolina Skiff motorboat about five hours before help arrived.
Searchers from the U.S. Coast Guard and local fire departments and police found the boaters.
Albert says the boaters’ life jackets saved them.
