Main Street Minute: Valley nonprofit hiring, health center looking for nurses

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday at 7:23 a.m.
• A local nonprofit is holding a hiring event on Friday. Chandler-Gilbert Arc has several positions open, including a direct support professional for group homes and employment services. The job fair runs from noon until 4:30 p.m. near Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road in Chandler.
• Aurora Behavioral Health System is looking for registered nurses with behavioral health experience. The job fair runs from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Friday near Guadalupe and Kyrene roads in Tempe.
• A New York-based candle company is moving to the Valley. The Phoenix Business Journal reported Remet Corporation just shelled out more than $2 million for a 22,000-square-foot warehouse near 32nd and Washington streets, where it will make candles and waxes.
