SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — After the help of many private donations, Scottsdale Public Art has met its $100,000 goal for the Canal Convergence matching grant with the city of Scottsdale.
According to Scottsdale Independent, within days of announcing the then remaining $5,000 gap for the Canal Convergence project, dozens of donations came pouring in.
Scottsdale Public Art is a partially city-funded, private non-profit which means that the city of Scottsdale will be matching the $100,000 donated.
The Canal Convergence grant will allow Scottsdale Public Art to bring in more art installations from local, national and international artists, as well as provide more interactive workshops and performances for visitors.
Programming for Canal Convergence 2017 has already begun and continual updates will be posted online at ScottsdalePublicArt.org.
