Main Street Minute: Valley police, fire departments hiring

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday at 7:23 a.m.
• The Glendale Fire Department is looking to train some new firefighters. The agency is accepting applications through July 22 with a projected start date for the firefighting academy in November.
• The last day to apply to the Gilbert Police Department is Thursday. The department has several openings including emergency dispatchers and crime prevention specialists.
• Air Products of Pennsylvania just announced plans to spin off its electronic materials division into a company called Versum Materials, which will be headquartered in Tempe. Versum will make products for the semi-conductor industry.
