Causes behind Orlando attack boil down to one word: hate

A tribute message and design stands amongst candles laid at Saint Anne's Church in the Soho district of central London, during a vigil for the victims of Sunday's Orlando shootings at a gay nightclub in Florida, Monday June 13, 2016. Wielding an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and a handgun, Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old American-born Muslim, opened fire at the crowded Pulse Orlando club early Sunday, killing dozens and wounding others. In the wake of this weekend’s tragedy in Orlando, everyone has been quick to judge and point fingers.

Yes, even the ones who are simply asking for prayers are taking a break or two to judge those that are judging and finger-pointing!

Look, we can talk guns until we are blue in the face. It’s not a gun issue.

We can talk Islamic Extremism until the cows come home. It’s not an Islamic extremism issue.

We can also talk about the rights and acceptance of the LBGTQ community all day long. It’s not an LBGTQ issue.

Wanna talk mental health? Don’t waste your time. This is not a mental health issue.

This incident, along with its predecessors, can be boiled down to one word:

Hate

Think about this: A lot of people hate a lot of different things for an infinite number of reasons. But if someone hates something enough, they will chose to eliminate whatever it is that they hate.

They will do so by any means that are available to them.

Anyone that knows me will tell you that I’m not an “All we need is love” kind of guy.

Replacing hate with love is a childish notion and not my point here.

My point is to warn every one of those that are claiming that this act is due to guns, Islam, mental health or homophobia.

Take a good look at the people that are offering these clairvoyant certainties. You will quickly see that each and every one of these crystal-ball slappies have an agenda and their rationale fits ever so well into that agenda.

Just like Rahm Emmanuel said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”
