Three Arizona ghost towns named coolest in America

There’s a reason why so many books about Arizona ghost towns exist.

As few ghost town residents as there are, visitors think abandoned jail houses, spooky mines and old outposts are darn cool.

Travel and Leisure thinks so too, which is why Katrina Brown Hunt put together a list of America’s coolest ghost towns. Three towns in Arizona made the list.

While some of Arizona’s notable mentions might be missing — there are quite a few to choose from after all — Hunt included Santa Claus, Goldfield and Gleeson, Arizona in her list of 22 ghost towns.
