TRENTON, N.J. (AP) – Atlantic City’s 12 casinos, ordered closed because of Sandy, can reopen immediately.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie issued an order allowing for gambling to begin again. The roads to Atlantic City also reopened under the order, which went into effect at 10 a.m. Friday.
The casinos have been closed since Sunday, before Sandy hit.
It was only the fourth shutdown in the 34 years that New Jersey has had casinos.
