PHOENIX — Firefighting aircraft are heading to Arizona to fight two separate wildfires in Arizona.
A DC-10 air tanker will fly in from New Mexico to help fight the Paddy Creek Fire. The wildfire is burning about 26 miles from Whiteriver and has already burned 800 acres.
In addition to the air tanker, there are three hotshot crews trying to contain this fire. No homes appear to be in danger.
Another tanker was ordered for the Ridge Fire, which is burning near Sierra Vista and Ft. Huachuca. The fire has covered about 100 acres. Officials are acting quickly as homes might be at risk.
