• Creamistry ice cream continues its weeklong grand-opening celebration by offering a buy-one, get-one free special Thursday. The promotion is at the shop in the Scottsdale Waterfront near Scottsdale and Camelback roads. Come Saturday, though, Creamistry will give away ice cream from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
• LA Fitness is celebrating National Fitness Month by offering free access to all clubs in Arizona all Thursday. Anyone 18 and older who is not a member is invited to try the club’s personal training zones, or any of the Zumba, aqua fit or power circuit classes. There are more than 30 LA Fitness locations in the Valley.
• The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture has received a $30,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The money will go to develop a neighborhood arts program to encourage artist, business, arts and community partnerships on proposals for temporary or permanent projects.
