The businessman has all but clinched the nomination for the Republican party, amassing a total of 1,107 delegates out of the 1,237 needed to take the party to the general election in November.
After his win in the Indiana primary on May 3, the last two Republican candidates — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Sen. John Kasich — dropped out of the race for president.
Even though it is not official, party stakeholders such as Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus have declared Trump as the nominee.

Trump’s success in securing the presidential nomination and slowly moving toward the general election has divided the party.
Officials such as House Speaker Paul Ryan and Florida Sen. Jeb Bush have spoken out, saying they refuse to support Trump while former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer — who has been dubbed as a potential Trump VP — said Republicans who don’t support the billionaire need to “get over it.”
