Main Street Minute: Valley charter school system opening another campus

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday at 7:23 a.m.
• Legacy Traditional School will acquire the former Rancho Solano private school in Peoria and is enrolling kindergarten-through-sixth grade students for the 2016-17 school year. Legacy will serve about 850 K-through-sixth grade students. The first day of classes is set for Aug. 15. The school is near 83rd Avenue and Deer Valley Road.
• Papa Murphy’s Pizza is raising awareness and money for a local foster care nonprofit. For every family-size pepperoni pizza sold through the end of May, the chain will donate $1 to Arizona Friends of Foster Children, in honor of foster care awareness month.
