Red light: Phoenix-area freeways to be closed during weekend of April 29

PHOENIX — The following Phoenix-area freeways will be closed or narrowed during the weekend of April 19 for various maintenance projects, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
• Southbound Loop 101 will be narrowed to three lanes between Cactus Road and 90th Street from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday for rubberized asphalt paving. Southbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Cactus Road, off- and on-ramps at Shea Boulevard and off-ramp at 90th Street will also be closed.
• Grand Avenue will be narrowed to one lane in both directions at Loop 303 interchange from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for paving. Northbound Loop 303 on-ramp and southbound off-ramp at Grand Avenue will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for paving.
• Northbound Loop 303 on-ramp at Bell Road will be closed from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday for paving.
• Northbound Loop 303 on-ramp at El Mirage Road will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Saturday for paving as part of an interchange construction project.
• Eastbound Interstate 10 will be narrowed to one lane overnight at Gila River Bridge east of Riggs Road from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday for maintenance.
• Eastbound Interstate 10 will be narrowed to three lanes between 107th and 91st avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday for construction I-10 will be narrowed to three lanes in both directions between 83rd and 91st avenues from 10 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday for construction.
• Eastbound Interstate 10 will be narrowed to two lanes overnight between Chandler Boulevard and Loop 202 interchange from 11 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday for barrier-repair work.
