AP PHOTOS: Storm threatens to snarl holiday travel

(AP) – One thing Americans might not be giving thanks for this week: the weather.
A large wintry storm slogged through the Southwest on Sunday. From there, it was expected to head south and east _ just in time to potentially snarl roads and airports during some of the busiest travel days of the year.
But not everyone was dispirited. “I love the snow,” said Damaris Machabo, a receptionist at a Holiday Inn motel in Altus in far southwestern Oklahoma, where several inches fell.
