EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) – Authorities say a high school student is hospitalized after falling from a sixth-floor dorm window after crashing through the glass while playing catch with friends at Michigan State University.
Police say the accident happened early Sunday morning at a dorm on the East Lansing campus.
A hospital spokesman says the student, 18-year-old Alexandra Pew, was in critical condition Monday at for Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Details about her injuries haven’t been released.
Campus police say it was an accident and they’ve found no indications of suspicious activity. Investigators say Pew was visiting campus and playing in a dorm lounge when she fell and broke through the glass.
Michigan State freshman Ustina Shives tells WILX-TV that she heard breaking glass, realized someone had fallen and called for help.
