JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – U.S. marshals have arrested a second suspect in the shooting death of a Mississippi State University student outside a campus dorm room.
Supervisory inspector Rick Griffin told The Clarion-Ledger that Dontae Harvey surrendered to U.S. marshals around 7:30 p.m. Monday at a home in Jackson. Griffin says marshals developed information on where Harvey was and got cooperation from his family.
Another suspect, 21-year-old Mason Perry Jones, was arrested Sunday in the Saturday shooting and has been charged with capital murder in the death of student John Sanderson.
Authorities were still seeking a third suspect in the shooting.
