ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) – The son of “The Riddler” from TV’s “Batman” series has illuminated the iconic ball he designed atop the soon-to-open Revel casino in Atlantic City.
Mitch Gorshin, whose father, Frank, played the arch-villain on the 1960s TV show, is an executive with Revel Entertainment. He says the ball is a constantly changing piece of artwork that will define the identity of the $2.4 billion resort, due to open on April 2.
Gorshin got the idea while walking back to the casino and eating a slice of pizza. When he was done, he crumpled up the aluminum foil that held the pizza into a tiny ball and was about to throw it away when he held it up and saw it aligned with the casino’s roof.
